How to play piano online
Click or tap a key to play it; the lower you press on the key, the louder it sounds. On a computer you play with the bottom letter row (Z to M) and the top row (Q to ]). The arrow keys shift an octave and the space bar works as the sustain pedal. If you connect a MIDI keyboard, click MIDI device to connect it.
Songs to play along with
Pick a song at the top, such as Für Elise, Bach’s Prelude in C, Gymnopédie No. 1 or Canon in D, and watch the keys move along. You can also open your own MIDI file or drop it onto the page. The mixer switches parts on or off, so you can play the piano part yourself.

Can I use my own MIDI keyboard?
Yes, in Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox. Connect the keyboard, click MIDI device and allow access. Velocity and the sustain pedal work. Safari does not support Web MIDI.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. You can play with several fingers at once. Turn your device sideways for more keys and scroll through the keyboard with the strip above the keys.
How do I play with my computer keyboard?
The bottom letter row plays one octave and the top row with the digits plays the octaves above; the letters are shown on the keys. ← and → shift an octave, and holding the space bar is the sustain pedal.
Can I play my own songs?
Yes. Open a MIDI file via Songs or drop it onto the page. The file is only read in your browser and is not uploaded.
Why can’t I hear anything?
Browsers only start audio after a click, tap or key press, so tap the page or a key first. Also check your device’s volume.
